Big Ups: Warmth
“If the world seems cold to you, kindle fires to warm it.” — Lucy Larcom
If we lived in a world where we never experienced coldness, how much do you think we would appreciate warmth? At this time of year, for many of us, bliss can be as simple as coming in from the cold and warming ourselves by a fire.
When it comes to people — as it so often does 😊 — I strongly prefer those who display what is often called a warm personality. I feel certain that whatever connects you and I together began with a reciprocal spark.
As we come, go, and do our things, we don’t always spark with those we encounter. Honoring the wonderful aspects of life that only exist due to thoughtful people who shine their inner charms outward — even in the darkest and coldest of days; even for complete strangers — I dedicate this message with infinite appreciation to the upbeat, the kind, the encouraging, and their like.
Coming at this subject from another angle, one of Google’s top reference articles points out the differences between warm personalities and warm-heartedness. It’s good to note those fine points, and I am grateful that both dispositions exist. On the personality side, my heroes tend toward agreeableness, empathy, kindness, generosity, sociability, friendliness, and enthusiasm. To tip their direction:
