In version 1.6 of the BigCommerce for WordPress plugin, we’ve added some exciting new features as well as a few bug fixes and changes.

This post will highlight a few of the major updates. For full details on every change you can always check out the CHANGELOG.md file at WordPress.org.

Automatic Menu Setup

During the onboarding process, you now have the option to automatically add BigCommerce menu items, like the Cart page, to your navigation menu.

Start Over Button

If you wish to start the onboarding process again for any reason, you now have the option to return to the beginning of the setup process, with the click of a button.

Filter by Child Categories

You now have the option to filter products by subcategory from the Add/Edit product block or using a shortcode.

And More

• All option caches are flushed before and after running an import batch to avoid cache corruption from longer-running processes.

• The import log records more extensive debugging information. Use the bigcommerce/logger/level filter to change the logging level.

• Added hooks to render HTML inside the form tags on the plugin settings pages.

Look out for our next release in 2–3 weeks. We look forward to sharing more exciting updates!
