Welcome to the BigCommerce Developers Blog! We’re launching this space on Medium to showcase content that matters to the developers who build apps, custom e-commerce websites, and other solutions for BigCommerce stores.
Why a Developer Blog?
We created this space for the community of technical folks who are building some very cool things on our e-commerce platform. We get pretty inspired by the things you create, and we want to talk about it! This is the spot to dig deeper, ask questions, and take away some actionable tips to inspire your next project.
The Developer Blog complements our documentation by capturing all kinds of information that’s super useful, but doesn’t quite fit into the docs. We’ll demo new API updates, share detailed how-tos, and talk about the tools and workflows that help make us better developers. Here’s a sneak peak at what’s coming:
1. How-Tos.
Complete a bite-sized project with our step-by-step tutorials. We’ll be featuring tutorials on Stencil theme development, WordPress, app development, and more. The tutorials featured here will be different than those in the documentation, highlighting more use-case specific scenarios and standalone projects.
2. Developer stories.
Every solution has a backstory. We want to share the challenges, the thought process, and celebrate the success of what you build.
3. Product announcements.
Hear about the latest BigCommerce developer news. We’ll be announcing updates to our APIs and Stencil, along with everything you need to know to begin using new features.
4. Community highlights.
Meet the developers in and outside of BigCommerce who are working hard to drive innovation and solve problems. We’ll sit down with members of our Engineering and Product teams, Agency and App Partners, and developer community members to learn what makes them tick.
