Welcome to the monthly recap of BigCommerce product news and updates. Each month, we’re sharing all the changes and updates available to merchants’ stores on BigCommerce.

In January we were excited to publicly announce BigCommerce Shipping, a brand new shipping solution with competitive rates and robust features built right into your control panel. We’ve also announced an upcoming BigCommerce mobile app for iOS in March, with Android to follow. Check out our full list of releases, enhancements, and products updates below.

BigCommerce Platform Updates, January 2019

  • Now in Beta: BigCommerce Shipping — BigCommerce Shipping provides an all-in-one solution for merchants with more features and choices for you and your customers. Find out more and join the beta.
  • Coming Soon: BigCommerce Mobile App — We’re working on a mobile app to make it easier for merchants to manage their business. Receive push notifications, view key performance metrics, update order statuses on-the-go and more. For a sneak peek at the app, view our January Town Hall here.
  • Coming Soon: Persistent Cart Feature — Persistent Cart will automatically associate a shopper’s cart to their customer account, allowing shoppers to retrieve their cart from any device. We’re in the final stages of development and plan to fully roll it out soon. Read more.
  • Now available: BlueSnap Payments — Our integration with BlueSnap allows merchants to accept debit and credit card payments. They offer competitive transaction rates, especially for shoppers who pay with debit cards. Learn more.
  • Product update: Control over logout durations for inactive shoppers — BigCommerce has recently updated the Security Settings section of the Control Panel to allow advanced customization of automatic logout durations for inactive shoppers. Learn more.
  • Announcement: BigCommerce Migrates to Google Cloud Platform — BigCommerce is migrating its hosting infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform, enabling merchants to benefit from the industry’s fastest, most flexible and secure cloud platform. Learn more.
