Welcome to the monthly recap of BigCommerce product news and updates. Each month, we’re sharing all the changes and updates available to merchant’s stores on BigCommerce.

Whether you’re an agency partner building and managing an ecommerce site, a freelance developer customizing the BigCommerce storefront, or an app developer wanting to keep on top of natively built features, this your chance to stay in the loop and learn what changes are happening to the BigCommerce platform.

In August, we made several updates for our UK & EU merchants by enabling a new detailed printable invoice that ensures HMRC compliance and making our Klarna Payments integration available in the UK and EU. We also launched two-step verification for all stores.

BigCommerce Platform Updates, July 2019

  • Product Update: Klarna Payments Now Available to UK & EU Merchants — Klarna is a flexible payment gateway that offers multiple financing options. It is now available to merchants in the UK & EU. Learn more.
  • Product Update: New Detailed Printable Order Invoice Template for UK & EU Merchants — We’ve added a new email template for UK & EU merchants to ensure HMRC compliance, making key changes such as including VAT in the total. This will only be sent when both the merchant and shopper are from either the UK or EU so unaffected merchants won’t see this change. Learn more.
  • Announcement: Two-Step Verification (2SV) — We’ve enabled Two-Step Verification adding another layer of protection to all stores. 2SV informs merchants when their account is logged into from an unrecognized device. If your username and password credentials are compromised, you still have an additional security barrier protecting your store’s data. Learn more.
