Welcome to the monthly recap of BigCommerce product news and updates. Each month, we’re sharing all the changes and updates available to merchant’s stores on BigCommerce. Whether you’re an agency partner building and managing an ecommerce site, a freelance developer customizing the BigCommerce storefront, or an app developer wanting to keep on top of natively built features, this your chance to stay in the loop and learn what changes are happening to the BigCommerce platform.
In July, BigCommerce has been focused on setting our customers up to SELL MORE over the summer and holiday seasons! In this recap, we highlight all of the new payment methods and options, new enablement resources for store owners, and full access to the previously tier-enabled advanced promotions feature.
BigCommerce Platform Updates, July 2022
- Introducing Commonwealth Bank For Australian Merchants: To extend our growing list of supported payment gateways and payment options, we’re happy to announce that Commonwealth Bank is now available for AUS merchants. Key benefits are: reduced checkout friction, enabled manual capture & reduction of fraud and chargebacks with 3DS.XT.
- New local payment methods available with Stripe: Through BigCommerce and Stripe, you now have the ability to offer your customers a wider range of payment options via bank transfers, vouchers & digital wallets. Taking advantage of these new payment methods can help merchants reach more buyers globally.
- Better domain management in the control panel for Headless: We’ve recently announced two new control panel additions for headless domain management: a UI for managing custom checkout domains (1 per storefront), and improvements to the UI for storefront domain and routes management.
- A new user’s guide to BigCommerce resources: As part of the Community team’s focus on enablement, one of our team members put together this blog to help guide new store owners on the BigCommerce platform. Drew covers everything new & tenured store owners should know to optimize their experience with BigCommerce.
- Set up a different Meta Pixel for storefronts: In addition to having a global Meta Pixel that is used by all your storefronts, you now have the option to configure a unique Pixel per storefront. This includes support for the Conversions API that we announced last year.
- Advanced Promotion Editor now available to all stores: The advanced editor for managing automatic and coupon promotions is now available to all store plans. In addition to discount rule templates we released to help merchants build tailored discounts.
- More flexibility with overrides for refund adjustments: Delivering a popular feature request from BigCommerce Ideas, the ability to make precise adjustments to refund amounts is now available to all stores. This feature gives flexibility to your order management experience by adding the option to override automatic adjustments to the refund total.
