At BigCommerce, not only did May bring in improved support in customizing email templates, two-factor authentication, and BigCommerce University, but we also introduced two new beta opportunities! Check out all of the updates below to see everything that BigCommerce was up to in May.

BigCommerce Platform Updates, May 2021

  • New Transactional Email Updates: In this update to our new Transactional Emails, stores now have the ability to reset individual templates back to system default, add custom, user-created phrases, and rename or delete default phrases.
  • Updates to Chase Merchant Services’ Orbital Gateway: BigCommerce now supports Orbital, a payment gateway that allows shoppers to securely store their credit card information, and supports multi-currency transactions.
  • Two-Factor Authentication for Store Users: With the Authy App, all store users can now opt-in to use two-factor authentication (2FA) when logging into the BigCommerce control panel.
  • Announcing BigCommerce University: At BigCommerce University (BCU), new and experienced users can receive coaching on managing storefronts, and developers can receive API and Stencil Training.
  • Edit Email Addresses on Afterpay Orders: New capabilities with Afterpay now allow you to correct email misspellings and typos, and update email addresses by customer request.
