What’s New for Merchants in October?

Welcome to the monthly recap of BigCommerce product news and updates. Each month, we’re sharing all the changes and updates available to merchant’s stores on BigCommerce. At BigCommerce, October was filled with results! Over the past month, we’ve announced many enhancements that were made to native integrations to better support our merchants, in addition to releasing new solutions. These include updates to submitted Ideas, two new payment beta opportunities, the ability to list products directly on Google Shopping, and more!

BigCommerce Platform Updates, September 2021

• Fall 2021 Ideas Recap: Thanks to all who support our Ideas program in the BigCommerce Help Center! This Product Blog covers all the big updates that happened with your Ideas over the past quarter. Status updates such as, “Delivered”, “App Available”, and ”Added to Roadmap,” are all detailed in this recap. Check it out to see what’s new and to learn how to get involved.
• New Payment Gateway — Moneris: BigCommerce now supports Moneris as a payment gateway for Canadian businesses. Extending the existing BC + Moneris Integration, this gateway is fully supported on the Optimized One-Page Checkout. This Product Blog announcement provides an overview of the gateway and information on how to get started.
• Automatic Tax Calculation for Avatax App: BigCommerce now supports a new app integration with Avalara AvaTax, which allows merchants to customize the services their business needs. If any of your clients are utilizing AvaTax, this Product Blog would be great to share with them as it covers the details of this update, additional add-ons for complex tax problems, and how to maximize the benefits.
• Ads & Listings Available on Google App: Are your clients interested in listing their products directly onto Google Shopping? This Product Blog announcement covers everything you (and they) need to know about the benefits, launching Smart Shopping campaigns, FAQs, and how to get started.
• Updates to Google BigQuery: Thank you to all the merchants and partners who have been leveraging BigQuery with your stores and who have provided feedback about this native integration. This Product Blog announcement details the 3 major enhancements recently made which may require a change to be made in existing queries.
• Clearpay and Additional Support for Afterpay: This announcement details the recent international extension of our Afterpay integration. Afterpay has now expanded their international portfolio and cross-border trade configurations with support for the Canadian market, and they have launched into the UK market as Clearpay.

BigCommerce Beta Opportunities, September 2021

• Openpay: BigCommerce merchants in the US, UK, and Australia interested in offering their shoppers more affordable payment installments now have the opportunity to apply for this closed beta with Openpay. Check out the Product Blog for more information on requirements and how to apply.
• Cybersource with Apple Pay & Google Pay: If any of your merchants are interested in accepting online payments with Apple Pay and Google Pay through our upgraded Cybersource payment integration, we have exciting news: We’re now accepting applicants to join this beta.
