Welcome to a recap of what’s trending in the BigCommerce Developer Community. Every other week, we’ll take a look at the discussions happening. You’ll see our most popular and insightful conversations, along with questions that could use your expertise or helpful advice.

This week, the BigCommerce Developer Community discussed using the Order API to modify an order, editing the product card template in Cornerstone, and pushing order data to an application. We also saw a request for info about an error seen when using the Payments API.

Can’t Miss Conversations

  • Nick van Gilst noticed when trying to send a PUT request to /v2/orders/{{order_id}} that it was rejected and wasn’t able to see why. Read more about modifying line items in an order in the Community.
  • Lisa Li tried modifying the product card template to include a product’s warranty information but didn’t see any change on the storefront. We discover why this info wasn’t added through the card object in the Community.
  • Alex Hall is building a BigCommerce app and wants to push new order information to the app. Read more about how this might be accomplished using webhooks in the Community.

Share a Solution

  • Vikas Pandey is testing the Payments API with the Test Payment Gateway and hasn’t been able to receive a successful response though test mode is enabled. Join the conversation and share your solution in the Community.
