Expulsion Whiskey

about last night

I am a light sleeper.

Every night, I wake up around 3 or 4 a.m., toss and turn, reshape my pillow, and attempt to will myself back to sleep. If I succeed, those early hours — especially the last stretch between 5 and 7 — are often when I get the deepest, most restful sleep.

And it is when my dreams are at their most vivid.
