Well I like him. I started liking him when I became a Methodist.
Now I’m a Unitarian Universalist (some people think we’re a cult, which I find de-lightful). But I still think Christ is a cool cat.
What do you like about Jesus? If I may ask.
Well, pretty much the “least among us stuff.”
Yeah that’s a good one.
I like that he tells us to help the impoverished.
Yes, those people deserve help.
I like that he tells us to be kind to the disabled and the elderly.
Oh for sure, definitely them.
I like that he would tell us not to judge people by the color of their skin or where they were born.
Yeah, you’re probably right.
I like that he wouldn’t want us to rip non-felon immigrant parents from their kids. But he’d also say, “Listen folks, we need a better system for legalizing immigrants. And we can’t have everyone cross the border willy-nilly. We gotta be careful.”
I like that he wouldn’t deport kids of illegal immigrants, who were born here. Or send the Dreamer kids…
