Should You Cancel Your Wedding Due to Coronavirus or Reschedule When Chris Shelley Is Available?

Brides and Grooms across the world, I know that you are wondering what to do about your wedding. Should you cancel it? Should you reschedule it? If you cancel, will you get any money back? If you reschedule, will you retain the same vendor team you’ve assembled? Will your officiant be available or should you hire Chris Shelley?

I’ve done some research, I’ve looked at my schedule for late this year and next year, and, as a trained, professional Celebrant, I have come to the following conclusion: if you did not hire me to officiate your wedding, you should definitely 100% reschedule to various dates later this year — for example September 20, October 16, November 14, December 5 — or many dates next year and hire me when your first choice is no longer available. If you did hire me to officiate your wedding, you should still hold your wedding as scheduled after the next eight weeks have passed, per CDC guidelines.
