BiiLabs Joins MOBI to Support Industrial Adoption of Blockchain on Smart Mobility Applications
Release date: 19 August, 2020. Taipei, Taiwan.
BiiLabs, a Blockchain-as-a-Service startup company, today announced that it has joined Mobility Open Blockchain Initiative (MOBI) — a global consortium of industry leading automakers, technology based startups, and other mobility players.
BiiLabs focuses on mobility markets with distributed ledger technology (DLT), which is enabling carwallet services as well as delivering companies like TransIOT for Usage Based Insurance (UBI) application. By joining MOBI, BiiLabs will be collaborating with world’s leading automakers, technology companies and non-profit organizations to facilitate the adoption and standardization of blockchain for mobility.
“BiiLabs saw the demands of technologies with transparency and trust in mobility market,” said Lman Chu, Co-Founder and CEO at BiiLabs. “We are very excited for joining MOBI to work closely with those mobility players. We will utilize our strength on DLT to contribute to the community to accelerate the transformation in the industry.”
“The convergence blockchain, IOT, and AI enables every entity — whether a person, a thing, or a vehicle — to have a secure digital identity, to be intelligent, to transact with other things, and to autonomously participate in what we’ve called the new economy of movement,” said Chris Ballinger, Founder and CEO, MOBI. “We’re excited to have BiiLabs join MOBI, and look forward to realizing a better mobility future together.”
With over 100 member companies and growing, MOBI is collaborating with a wide variety of players in the mobility and blockchain space, including many of the world’s largest automakers and mobility ecosystem players, along with numerous start-ups, nonprofits, governments, transit agencies, and technology companies. By working together, we can make mobility services more efficient, affordable, greener, safer and less congested.
