When we hear Artificial Intelligence (AI), it sounds like some alien technology which has some crazy rocket science involved. If you look at it, almost everyone of us uses AI on a daily basis. It is available in many of the electronic products we use. AI is basically advanced machine learning software which has extensive behavioral algorithms that adapt themselves to our likes and dislikes.These machines learn the algorithms based on a vast data stored in their database. AI has entered the market of late and is surely here to stay. Not just that, it will grow exponentially in the coming years.

Here are some of the examples of most commonly used Artificial Intelligence.

1. Siri

Siri is one of the most famous personal assistants used on a phone. Running on all the new Apple devices, Siri is the voice-activated computer program which acts as your assistance. It works on voice commands, and searched the web for any information you need, makes calls, updates your calendar as per your schedule, opens apps, plays songs and videos etc. Siri uses machine learning technology to improve its interface and provide better results.

2. Google Assistant

Google recently launched it’s new and improved personal Assistant ‘Google Assistant’, which is a successor to its ‘Google Now.’ Developed by Google Inc., it can engage in two-way conversations which were not available on Google Now. It performs all the tasks like Siri and is integrated into Google home device, Allo App, Google Pixel and Android wear. The new and improved personal assistant is highly responsive, and provides results with a high level of accuracy, being a brainchild of Google. With the entry of Google Assistant in the market, Google has raised the competition in the AI sector in a big way.

3. Netflix

Netflix, an American entertainment company that streams media and videos online for its subscribers is one of the most successful companies in the world in this segment. It is a highly accurate predictive technology based on customers’ reactions. Its software analyzes records and suggests you movies, TV shows and other videos based on those you’ve watched previously. It also shows you the most liked and most watched list of videos on your home screen. The only issue with this system is that the ones that are not so popular or have lesser likes go unnoticed, while the big names go on top of the list.

4. Alexa

Amazon recently unveiled Alexa, its own personal assistant. It has created quite a storm in the market since its entry in the market. The fact that Alexa integrated devices are sensitive enough to decipher speech command from any corner of the room has made it an instant hit and many people are opting for it. It can play songs for you, help you shop on Amazon, check information online, set alarms, perform various other tasks. It can help in power outs if your home is set up as a smart home. You can also set up your lighting settings and control them using Alexa.

Its transactional AI has been in existence for quite some time now and is one of the best we’ve seen so far. It’s AI has made the systems extremely smart, and predicts what your shopping preferences are based on your online behavior. Amazon has huge future plans, and Jeff Bezos is making sure none of them are left incomplete. He wants to change the face of Artificial intelligence completely, where there is complete ease of access provided to the users.

Elon Musk is no stranger to the Business and the Tech world, and the Tesla CEO is one of the most ambitious people in the world. His venture Tesla Inc. is arguably one of the best automaker brands in the world along with having energy storage company, and solar panel manufacturer company to his name. Tesla motors produce electric cars, which are very energy efficient and eco-friendly. Tesla is one of the most successful companies in this domain with the huge response to its products from the users. Tesla’s cars are famous for their predictive capabilities, self-driving feature and an array of tech features which are uber-cool. These are the smart cars of the future that everyone has been speaking about, and now that they are here, they’re living up to the expectations. The integration of Artificial Intelligence into automobiles is one of the best innovations of the modern times.

7. Nest

Nest Labs is a home automation producer of programmable, self-learning, sensor-driven, Wi-Fi-enabled thermostats, smoke detectors, and other security systems. It introduced the Nest Learning Thermostat in 2011 as its first product. Nest has the best known for its programmable thermostats and smoke detectors which is famous for its AI integration. It can now be controlled by voice command over Alexa. It learns your schedules and uses WiFi to connect to your phone. Nest was acquired by Google for $3.2 Billion. It personalizes your thermostat depending on your heating and cooling preferences. It can also be connected to the Nest Cam, which is a High definition live streaming camera which can stream right to your phone, giving you a high level of security. When it comes to AI, Google seems to be leaving no stones upturned.

8. Boxever

Boxever is customer Intelligence cloud for marketers. Co-founded by CEO Dave O’Flanagan, Boxever is strongly dependent on machine learning to improve customer’s experience in the travel industry and deliver ‘Micro-moments’. It is trying to change the way you book your travel journeys by introducing AI for a better and seamless experience.

After looking at all these examples, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that Artificial Intelligence or AI is one of the best things that has happened to the Technology sector, and it is proving to be extremely useful. New and advanced technologies are converting some of the very basic daily tasks into an experience by integrating AI with them. With the ever changing face of technology and new elements coming up every now and then, it only remains to be seen what the future of tech has in store for us.
