Respect, not rivalry

You can appreciate the history, even if you don’t appreciate the team

Where I live near Boston, the hockey fans I know don’t have much use for the Montreal Canadiens.

I root for the Bruins as much as I do anyone, although not hardcore like a lot of people I know, but I know how it goes.

However, even if you hate the Canadiens with the heat of 1,000 white-hot suns, if you’re in Montreal, and you get a chance to tour the Bell Centre …

… go down to ice level (even if it’s being set up for a concert the next day), see the media lounge and press box, the alumni lounge …

… and the locker room, you go, and you respect it.

You may even like it.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
