Yea, sometimes we hear people around us criticize technology that makes our body lazier or not healthy. E-commerce, Food Delivery app, and many other apps make us able to do anything without going out from our home. as we may know, our parent generation needs to work for 8 hours. but now, if we want to raise from the crowd, we need to use more of our time for study and work.

Hierarchy of Needs

According to Maslow’s Hierarchy higher needs in the hierarchy begin to emerge when people feel they have sufficiently satisfied the previous need. if we still struggle with physiological needs and safety needs, maybe we are still not enough productive on our schedule plan.

how can we achieve Love and Belonging even some esteem for ourselves if we still do not achieve safety in our carrier/life or our physiological needs? what if we change some of the activity from manually to automatically with help of apps? shopping to the market or mall, or buy some groceries that consume so much time.

Change Behaviour of Citizen

in this pandemic year, there are so many applications of delivery services, so don’t need to use our time for another activity to get our needs. let us see the data below from IDN Times for Food Delivery services

From IDN Times 2020

as you can see above, the majority are young-adult people. with this data, we can see that in the future many people will have a mindset for automatic things.

Apps in Indonesia

Imagine in the future, you don’t need to use your time for groceries because you subscribe to grocery apps and it will know automatically with their AI what you need every week and send it every 3 days to your home, like eggs, milk, and many things.

Final Thought

so in the end, apps only help us in many things, so we can do other things. but if we don’t use our wisdom, and do lazy things. the apps did not help us to be productive. so for me, in the future, we will use many apps to make some of our activities more simple and automatic. On the other hand, we can use the time for watching Netflix, spend our time with our family, and do many things. we need more apps if we need to boost our productivity.
