We know how much trouble 2-factor authentication can be. For each login to your account, you need to enter your login credentials, open an authenticator app, view and type the code in your desktop. This process though simple can be frustrating at times. Especially when you need to carry it out every day.

TOTP Authenticator’s Push to Chrome functionality helps you to skip this tedious process. Now you no longer need to manually type and then tally the 2FA code into your browser. You just need to tab on the Chrome Extension icon and the code gets copied to your desktop.

Below is a step-by-step guide regarding how to set up TOTP Chrome Extension:

1. Download and Install the app.

Push to Chrome extension currently only works for Android. Download the TOTP Authenticator app from Play Store to get started.

3. Go to the Chrome extension screen.

It can be accessed in the main app menu. The screen will guide you through the remaining steps to enable and set up the Chrome extension in less than 2 minutes.

4. Sign In with your Google Account

Since we don’t require our users to create an account with us, we use your Google Account to identify and authenticate you.

So click on the ‘Sign in’ button and select an account you want to create the backup with.
