Their solutions integrated internal data with over 100 external variables — such as inflation and weather — to offer predictive analytics with over 95% accuracy, helping supply chain teams optimize operations.

However, an explosive 200% growth in usage over a few months rendered their existing pricing model unsustainable. Costs spiraled out of control, and scalability challenges loomed large. Architecting the Future: A Technical Breakdown

Building a GenAI infrastructure at this level required more than migrating workloads to the cloud; it demanded an architecture balancing cost efficiency, immediate scalability, and enterprise-grade security.​

The foundation was laid with AWS Landing Zone, establishing a multi-account architecture with strict governance and cost control. Each account — Management, Security, Shared Services, and Applications — was structured following best-in-class security practices. To orchestrate workloads at scale, binbash implemented Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), ensuring seamless AI model execution while optimizing costs with spot instances, namespaces, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for multi-environment isolation.​

A pivotal shift was the adoption of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) with AWS Bedrock. The new pipeline included:

  • Foundation Models and Embedding Models: Enhancing Natural Language Processing Capabilities.​
  • OpenSearch as a Vector Database: Optimizing data retrieval and AI-driven responses in real-time.​

Security measures were meticulously implemented. AWS CloudTrail, IAM Access Analyzer, and GuardDuty ensured compliance and proactive threat detection. Sensitive data was encrypted using AWS Key Management Service (KMS), and stringent access policies safeguarded Datup’s customer information. To automate deployment and infrastructure provisioning, tools like Terraform and ArgoCD facilitated continuous updates without downtime.​

The Impact: Transforming Business Outcomes

The results were nothing short of remarkable. Before Alaia, Datup’s Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) stood at $70,000. Following the launch, that figure soared to $160,000 in record time. More impressively, the company expanded into new market segments, unlocking an additional $48,000 in MRR from previously untapped verticals. This expansion diversified their revenue streams and solidified their position as pioneers in the GenAI space within the region.​

For Ramiro Chaparro, the impact transcended financial metrics:
