‘JATHI RATNALU’- A New Comedy Variant !!!
The entire world has been facing the most distressing and challenging times since the last year and it has been very tough. Talking about India, we as a society have a deep-rooted culture to celebrate certain things by gathering as a group and we are used to doing that for ages. Over time, ‘Cinema’ has also become a part of our culture and we started to celebrate it and even that celebration of cinema has come to a halt in the last one year.
Well, to counter these tough times, here’s a movie which bought back the celebration of cinema, the celebration of joy and laughter in the theatres and i.e., ‘Jathi Ratnalu’. It starts to tickle your funny bone right from the word go and the film does not take itself seriously even for a moment. The makers were very clear about their intentions right from the first scene and the effortless performance of the actors added a lot to it.
Naveen polishetty has been phenomenal and he created a show of his own, people in the auditorium erupted into laughter whenever he utters a dialogue. Rahul and Priyadarshi have been outstanding throughout. It can be seen that many of those reactions, dialogues, and nuances are improvised on the spot by the actors and it worked out very well.
The producer of the film, Nag Ashwin deserves special applause for holding the film throughout the pandemic without selling to any OTT platforms. This shows the gut feeling of the team towards the film which they thought would be a laugh riot in the theatres and the same is happening now.
The other major attraction about the film is its promotion, the way they smartly promoted the film created a lot of buzz among the youth which added a lot to the openings. The team’s clarity of thought in delivering what they wanted to deliver and the performances along with the writing perfectly fell in place and it has paid off through the audience’s heartful laughter in the theatres.
Jathi Ratnalu is one such film that makes you feel happy without making you think too much and leaves you with joy, and finally, the hype is real.
