Behaviometrics Going to Break Through the Traditional Smartphone Security System

On any mobile device security systems usually have a PIN or password. Despite the emergence of biometric authentication for many smart portable devices, the system is still not standardized for all the devices available in the market. Biometric authentication in still unique and limited to some smartphones. However, the advent of true Artificial Intelligence (AI) in smartphones now is going to change the market completely.

Passwords and PINs are hard to remember and provide little security. Biometric scanning solutions such as fingerprint scanner, voice recognition, face recognition or iris scanner facilities are more desirable and attractive for the users who do not want to use passwords or pins. The smartphone market has been long shifted from technology focus and has driven towards personal experience of the users. This is why AI in smartphones are now increasing in popularity and demand. According to Gartner’s prediction, 80% of next generation of smartphones manufactured will have AI capabilities. The percentage was 10 in 2017 and it is expected to hit 80 by 2022 according to the prediction. AI solutions then will become a crucial part of every smartphones that vendors will no more be able to avoid the feature.
