Softbank, one of the renowned telecom operating company in Japan recently deployed biometric-based Id solution to accelerate their customer experience in their mobile application. Now more than 10 million mobile subscribers of Softbank will get the option to use biometric authentication while using Softbank mobile application “ My Softbank Plus. “

This deployment will safeguard Softbank customer from phishing, data breach and will create a robust security environment for accessing their data. This is thought to be a step forward initiative from Softbank to stand against data breach and create strong protection for the customer’s data.

Japan has over 75.85 million mobile internet user. This number is expected to rise to 77.26 million by 2022. This increased number of users shared and store their personal and professional data on their mobile devices where data breach can become a big nightmare for them. Moreover, some of the significant data breaches of last year remind us of the importance of the more secure authentication system for data safety.
