Dear Biotronians,

Year 2018 is slowly but surely coming to an end. Before we wrap it up there’s just one more month to go. With that, let’s have a look at the highlights of November in Biotron’s activities.

Clients & Partners

We’ve seen quite a lot of demand for location intelligence and analytics in the CEE region lately. As I already wrote before, we successfully ran the first pilot for a major fuel-station chain, and we’re working on several more, mostly in retail and ad targeting. Our data lab seems to be a very good way to go as well. We already started working for a real-estate developer on a smart building solution. Another project should start in the near future and is focused on transport.

GDPR and other privacy regulations complicated the supply side a bit, as companies are scared to even consider collecting and processing data. However, we’re in talks with 4 publishers which have apps with millions of users in tier 1 markets (US, UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain) and there’s around 30 more publishers in the pipeline with whom we already started to discuss a potential partnership. To push things forward we’re also on-boarding data from 3rd parties, such as aggregators and governments.

MKB Fintechlab Hackathon 2018

Martin, Jakub, and Richard spent the last weekend in Budapest at the MKB Fintechlab Hackathon 2018. They explored the potential of open banking and financial consciousness and its combination with location data. The result was an interesting concept of a financial planning and management app for families and finished as a runner-up of the hackathon! As there is quite a lot of demand for similar services in banking, we’ll be working to deliver this solution with one of our partners. Special thanks goes to Balázs Szebellédy for his consulting and insights for this topic!

New web

As our project evolves, we need to adapt our communication channels accordingly — to provide clear and accurate information about our activities. That’s why we redesigned our website to better explain our vision and how we won’t to achieve it. Check it out! With that we also updated our privacy policy and terms of use, which you can read on their respective links.

Get in touch with us!

You’re very welcome to ask us anything on our official Telegram group. Twitter might be of help here as well. We’re looking forward to your messages.

Have a successful week!

Best regards,
Pavol
