Development Update July 2019: iOS App Release & SDK Pilot Project

Dear Biotronians,

I hope you didn’t get scorched by the heatwaves all across the globe in July. We managed to muscle through and get a lot of work done even in this slow season. Read below for more.

iOS App Coming Soon

After carefully considering all the restrictions and guidelines from Apple regarding app distribution we finally managed to prepare an app for the App Store that should be good to go. It will be different than the one we have on Android, focusing more on functionality, rather than rewards (don’t worry, they will come later on). The release is planned for the end of August / beginning of September. We’ll let you know as soon as it happens.

Mobile SDK Pilot Project

September will mark another major milestone for Biotron — pilot project of our SDK. Currently we’re finalizing tests and performance. By now everything seems to be working well and the partners are satisfied, too. We’ll post a bigger update on this topic as soon as it will be released and paperwork will be done, as these types of projects could be quite huge and scalable on a global level.

New Data Engineer in September

I’m very happy that we are able to attract new talent and grow personally as well. Our last hire is a talented data engineer that will help us scale the project and move even faster with our data services. I’ll introduce our new colleague — you guessed it right :) — in September.

Top Tech Company 2019 powered by EY NOMINEE!

And last but not least — another nomination came our way. We are extremely pleased to let you know that Biotron Labs was nominated for the Top Tech Company 2019 award, which is powered by EY, so it’s a pretty big deal. The winners will be announced on Slovakia Tech 2019 forum and expo. Keep your fingers crossed!
