EXCELERATE18 Rewind

We are getting excited for another EXCELERATE Summit, coming up in NYC on Nov. 16th & 17th, but we thought it would be important to take a step back and rewind on the excitement that came with last year’s EXCELERATE18.

Since its first year in 2011, the annual Excel Summit has brought together Fellows from the Birthright Excel Summer Fellowship, the leading immersive 10-week summer internship program in Israel. The past few summits have grown even bigger, with the launch of EXCELERATE, a dynamic weekend for young professionals that highlights trends in innovation across industries as well as breakthroughs coming from Israel, while serving as a platform for leadership and development. In past summits, we’ve highlighted the stories of successful entrepreneurs and executives across industries such as Hi-Tech, Digital Media, Real Estate, and Venture Capital with memorable keynotes from Stanley Fischer, David Blitzer, Jane Rosenthal, Joanne Wilson, Daniel Lubetzky and Cory Booker.

At Excelerate18, we built on the momentum from previous years, with inspiring keynotes from Dan Doctoroff, Ambassador Ronald Lauder, and Randi Zuckerberg.

The ethos of EXCELERATE is to highlight ways to “do well while doing good” and we were fortunate to hear from inspiring speakers who shared this sentiment.

Avery Rosin is a Principal at Lead Edge Capital, a growth equity fund that invests in late stage software, internet and consumer companies with over $1.8 billion in capital raised since inception. Prior to joining LEC in 2012, Avery worked as an Analyst with the BRM Group in Israel during his summer on the Excel Fellowship, where he performed due diligence and market research for early stage investment opportunities. Avery graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics.

Ryan Eisenman is a co-founder of Arch, a venture backed startup building tools to help investors mange administrative work from allocations to private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, and real estate. Prior to Arch, Ryan worked for Deloitte Consulting, which began during his summer in Israel in their Tel Aviv office. Ryan graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in Human and Organizational Development.
