Friends and I celebrating Holi, the festival of colors.
Here are a few memories our family trips to India. On the left, you can see (from left to right) my brother, myself, my aunt, and my uncle standing in front of a temple; behind us is a fusion of all the Hindu Goddess—this is called a Shakti. The center picture is a nice family picture in front of India’s wonder of the word: Taj Mahal. The last image captures me in an Indian market getting mehndi—also known as henna.
Here is my mom and I in an auto—one of India’s forms of public transportation, like cabs.
Here is a snapshot of my family in an Indian cooking show. The purpose of this cooking serial was to show Indian people in America preparing traditional Indian meals.
Here you can see the most traditional Indian attire. I am wearing a fancy lehenga (aka half-sari), which is most commonly worn on unmarried women. My mom (right) is wearing a fancy sari.
