Astir{CCI} Cross-Chain-Initiative

Building a blockchain agnostic presence in the metaverse

Blockchain has solved a slew of problems for the development of mankind; however, as in the case with any other technological revelations; its solutions brought about tradeoffs. Surely, over time the tradeoffs are solved for; however until then, the show must go on.

One of the greatest of tradeoff’s in the transition from Web2.0 → Web3.0 come in the form of increased decentralization, decreased interoperability. (*note* legacy Web2 infrastructure is by no means more interoperable; however, the presence of Web3 brought it to light) Blockchain’s are notorious for the inability to communicate information between one another (unless they share the same VM). In essence, as it stands today, blockchains are fragmented data silos & as it pertains to a “utopian” techno-future for humanity in the metaverse; this isn't optimal.

Keenly aware of this paradigm, acknowledging the inevitability of a Multi-chain future, & in search of the “perfect” blockchain the industry has been relentlessly pursuing advancements towards solving for interoperability.

A few years & couple billion dollars later; the prophecy of a multi-chain world began to materialize.

Garnering the vast majority of mindshare & smart capital at the earliest days of the industry, while hosting over >85% of all (DEFI) Decentralized Finance & (NFT)Non-Fungible token activity has been taking place on it’s blockchain; Ethereum has been at the golden child of the industry.

However; its glorious domination of the industry brought to light much of tis shortcomings. Unable to aptly handle a torrential influx of willing new participants & far too complex to halt for upgrading, Ethereum buckled under its own weight. New blockchains, faster & cheaper blockchains, began to capture the attention of those annoyed with Ethereum.

Solana — (SOL). Tron —(TRX). Algorand —(ALGO). Polkadot —(DOT). Cardano — (ADA). EOS —(EOS). Avalanch — (AVAX). Terra — (LUNA).
Binance — (BSC).

The list goes on….

As the Decentralized Autonomous Organization aiming to provide the world with the most complete (decentralized) digital infrastructure for Sports (DaSO); BitAstir realizes that it must be present everywhere, at all times.

As mentioned above, interoperability is one of the most pressing subject matter of interest that is already being solved by a multitude of teams within the industry. With no tangible permanent solutions on the horizon for the next foreseeable months/years (ETH2 is more focused on scalability rather than interoperability); BitAstir has developed & carved out its own unique plan. With great anticipation & pride, BitAstir would like to announce the Astir[CCI] = Cross-Chain Initiative

The Astir[CCI’s] cross-chain initiative’s purpose is to establish BitAstir’s presence as widely throughout Web3.0 as possible while maintaining the integrity of its economic policy!

In order to obtain these lofty goals; BitAstir ran through the possible options:
- BitAstir can deploy its own blockchain, as a sidechain
- BitAstir can deploy its own blockchain, as a hub on {Cosmos}
- BitAstir can deploy its own blockchain, as a parachain on {plokadot}
- BitAstir can deploy its own {BITA} blockchain & VM

Whichever way to solve, it seemed as though deploying our own blockchain was the only option. However; one of the BitAstir team members highlighted how long this would take & how much operational complexity it would add; that complexity would not be the best addition to all of the current objects at hand. Thus; when so solution could be found, one was created.

BitAstir has decided to adapt & broaden the strategy of on-chain holdings with an introduction of assets that exist on other chain onto it’s Treasury’s balance sheet.

In devising its cci strategies; BitAstir remained as objective as possible in the selection of the composing assets. A broad range of quantitative & qualitative variables across technical & fundamental aspects including the economic; circulating supply, volume, exchanges, liquidity, history, active NFT collections, collection activity over time, community size, engagement & quality; chains/network security & capacity. The nuances of the AstirCCI shall be explored in a complimentary document/publication at a later date; we will be sure to provide a link here.
