Announcement #4: Spend BNS with Buyhatke Gift Cards (Stay Tuned)

We have received a tremendous response from you for the first 3 announcements and to say the least, we’re overwhelmed. BNS FIP went out of stock in less than 30 seconds and the other FIPs also saw strong participation from users. We would continue to bring new FIPs for users to benefit from. Plus, with Bituniverse, we saw over 100 users creating an API trading bot within an hour of the announcement.

Moving on to our announcement for today.

As a company, Buyhatke has helped users save over 1500 crores so far while they transacted online over the years, and we want to ensure this value in our products only amplifies with BNS and also gets accrued to BNS token. We did mention earlier that BNS would become the nucleus of the ecosystem that we are building and we would gradually extend into everything commerce through partnerships. Our goal is to help you make money or save money on any commerce transaction globally, through BNS. The commerce transaction can be anything and not limited to shopping, remittance, trading, lending.

The integration of BNS with Buyhatke would happen in multiple phases. Broadly speaking, phase 1 would be gift card purchase through BNS at a discount and this is a massive utility. Many crypto-related businesses have been working on this including companies like Bitrefill etc, and we would love to improve or innovate in this space, considering we have a broad experience with working on gift cards. Buyhatke, on a daily scale, facilitates gift cards upwards of 1 crores everyday and we would essentially wish to amplify this scale, and also have a good percentage of the transactions going through BNS. All this is going to unravel gradually but it is sure to add value for our users.

As we launch it, we want to let you know that we have worked hard enough to be able to offer much more competitive prices than any other crypto-to-gift card conversion provider for India on major websites and we would look forward to furthering this to more categories and stores in India and then globally. So if you are buying anything online, there is now going to be a whole new and smarter way to do it with BNS.

How would it work?

Here’s a short demo on how it would work:

Online:
Getting a discount on groceries. Think BigBasket. BigBasket has vouchers and you would be able to buy these vouchers from us at the discount (say 5%) mentioned.

Offline:
You’re standing at the checkout counter of Shoppers Stop and you get a notification that you can pay via Shoppers Stop vouchers. You realise you have BNS balance, so you buy the voucher at a discount (say 7%) through your Bitbns app and voila! You just saved 7% in a retail store. Now how cool is that.

Which platforms are supported?

- It would start working for Amazon and Flipkart gift cards and then we would be gradually extending the functionality to over 100 stores.

Can I use it offline ?

- Yes, you can use it in offline stores as well. As mentioned in the example above of Shoppers Stop.

I am not from India, can I use it ?

- The support starts from India and would be gradually rolled out to other countries starting with Europe.

When would this utility be going live ?

- This is currently in beta testing and once we have ironed out all issues and made a seamless workflow, this would be going live. We would keep you updated on the exact date and timing once we finish testing this facility.
