Well Facebook just did it again!

Last week, Facebook released the Customer Chat Plugin, a simple way to allow people to chat with businesses on their websites and in Messenger. Many business have been requesting for Facebook to bring the Messenger experience to their websites and it’s finally here.

See it in action.

So….how does it work?

Like many other website chat plugins, the Messenger chat plugin hovers over to top of a business’s website in the lower right hand corner.

There are many benefits to adding Customer Chat to your website.

  1. You can now easily offer on-site customer support which provides immediate responses to your customers.
  2. You don’t need to ask for an email on your website anymore. If people want to talk to you, all they have to do is click the button at the bottom right corner and the conversation starts.
  3. You can now continue the conversation with your customer or potential customer after they leave your website or store which will help bring in more revenue.
  4. Since the plugin is connected to your chatbot, you can utilize this interaction to put the chatbot to work and qualify your potential customers.
  5. No coding is required and only takes 5 minutes to install.
  6. Facebook will provide basic information on your customer automatically. There is no need to ask them.
  7. The customer chat plugin even works on mobile!
