Visual Designer @ BitChemy Ventures

We’re a team of UX designers looking to add a visual designer to build a design practice from the ground up. The design team at BitChemy Ventures handles all design requests across a group of companies. The work involves design strategy, branding, marketing design, collateral design and product design. We strongly feel a Visual designer will complete the team and will let us design great experiences.

BitChemy is a Venture Capital firm, founded by Sunil Motaparti. The company is headquartered in Hyderabad, India. BitChemy Ventures invests globally in disruptive technologies. BitChemy till date has invested in companies like Cafyne, 3LOQ, Kagami ERP and Mart-Mobi.


What will you do?

You will work directly with the CEOs of early stage start ups to set a design direction and strategy. Most of your work will be to understand the vision of these start ups and decide the right visual language to follow across mediums.

You will help in the product design by crafting the best visual systems. Your work will be multi-faceted and medium independent and the visual systems you design should have the same experience everywhere.

You will identify design opportunities and collaborate to chart down actionable tasks. Most of your work would be self-driven, you will have to listen, act and communicate your thoughts as best as possible.

You will work with the marketing team to translate communications into appealing visuals which will be consistent with the brand language of the firms. You will have to love the challenge of designing for different mediums.

Must haves

  • In depth knowledge of colour, style, iconography, typography, information design and visual hierarchy.
  • A portfolio of works showcasing the design expertise.
  • Ability to compellingly present work — to persuade others and to be persuaded.

Nice to Haves

  • A degree in Graphic Design or similar field.
  • Worked on Web/mobile as well as print.

We plan to build this design team right, we’re looking to have the best and the brightest of minds. You will play a major role in shaping this team. We’re looking for young blood, we do not have a minimum no. of experience criteria for this role.
