*Warning: some of the following details and video are disturbing.

A video obtained and released by CNN shows it all. There’s no question who the assailant is, matching some details of a settled lawsuit.

The music producer Sean “Diddy” Combs, who has gone by other names (including “Puff Daddy” over the years), is seen savagely beating his ex-girlfriend in a hotel.

There is no “allegedly” here: Diddy himself has issued an apology for the incident on his social media, confirming he did it.

He, of course, appears sullen and remorseful in the clip. He is looking for sympathy from loyal fans, noting he went to therapy.

“I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,” he says.

Well, it’s clear he didn’t. He would not have made this video if he hadn’t been shown beating his girlfriend. He tried to use money to make it go away.
