On June 24, two young women were in the crowd at the NCAA Championship for men’s baseball. It was aired on ESPN.

A common network strategy to keep viewers watching is for camera operators to scan the crowd for something or someone interesting.

This game was no exception.

Viewers were shown two young women eating ice cream.

The temperature rose to over 90 degrees. So, eating ice cream probably seemed like a refreshing treat for the ladies to eat.

ESPN commentators made a few seemingly benign comments.

“You gotta get it before it melts, it’s liquid…A night like tonight, you’re working fast.”

As we all know, any comment can be made into sexual innuendo without much effort. So can women doing just about anything on camera if you’re willing to look at it that way.

Like eating ice cream melting in the heat.

Add the ESPN commentary to the visual of two attractive young women eating soft serve, and we get too many men jumping into the pool of sexual harassment.
