American Hospitals are Violating Women’s Bodies. This Has to Stop.
This atrocious practice is not only unethical, but it’s also criminal.

Let’s say you just had surgery at a teaching hospital. You’re lying in bed under anesthesia and unconscious.
One by one, medical students come around to learn how to do a proper pelvic exam on you.
Each student takes turns putting their two fingers inside your vagina while the other hand presses your abdomen to check for any abnormalities.
You’d never know it happened because no one tells you, not even when you’re discharged from the hospital.
And you had never consented.
How in the hell is this legal or ethical?
I can’t believe that in 2023, this practice is legal in 29 states in the US.
That doctors and medical students have the right to violate your body and trust in this way.
That it’s deemed the best way to train medical students at teaching hospitals how to do pelvic exams properly.
