BitClout is full of all types of creators — from the sleazeball pump-and-dumpers to poets and leaders in tech.

It seems like everyone on the platform is armed with unique motivations and corresponding plans for how to achieve their goals using such an unpredictable and exciting new technology.

One of the brightest shining lights in the BitClout world is certainly the myriad users that have brought the spirit of charity and notion of world betterment to the blockchain.

A BitClout page called Plantatree (~$214.85 at time of writing) embodies this new age of tech-enhanced activism in an extraordinary way: The page plans on using the funds from their founder reward to plant trees.

Deforestation is a creeping blight on the Earth that has major negative externalities in downstream environmental and socioeconomic effects.

But unlike many environmental issues, deforestation is one with a clear and actionable solution: Plant more trees.

Simple but powerful.

In partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects, Plantatree has already planted 230 trees.

“We want to create a movement focused on the environment, where through increased size we can significantly increase awareness and the overall impact as opposed to people working individually. We are stronger united.” -Plantatree on BitClout
