The importance of an ‘open’ internet

The internet is at a critical moment in its history that will determine how it looks in ten or twenty years’ time. Issues around openness, and particularly the highly contentious net neutrality debate, are now at the fore and I would say it has never been more important to fight for the future of a free and open web.

A recent TechCrunch article outlined how we need to fight for better security, privacy and data portability if we are to build a decentralised web that works in the best interests of ordinary people. Of course, the blockchain is a key tool in this fight, and we’ll continue to search for new ways that this innovative technology can bring innovation and disruption to the gaming sector.
