Nov 2018 As per FT.com article (https://www.ft.com/content/24bf2c72-d08b-11e8-9a3c-5d5eac8f1ab4) BlueFors, a Helsinki start-up, makes the “dilution refrigerators” needed to build a quantum computer because quantum chips only work at temperatures typically 100th of a degree above absolute zero. It sells three units a week, at a cost of between €200,000 and €500,000 each, an indicator of the scale of the global scramble for quantum computing.
