So this has been doing the rounds of X the last couple of days:

This is a doozy, and there’s no room for misinterpretation:

  • No greeting by employees, not even a single word during the interaction
  • Mess up her order of only THREE items
  • When she goes back, there’s no apology
  • To add insult, they tell her to stop at the box in future when returning to correct the mistake they made
  • Hand her the complete order without a word

Now as usual, there are the “compassionate” types who are trying to excuse the employees. Saying they don’t get paid enough, they’re treated poorly, that the woman was unpleasant and so on. All of it the worst kind of deflection.

Unbelievably, some people called the woman posh and having too high a standard of fast food workers. Ok so what, the correct standard we should now expect is incorrect orders and contempt for the customer? I certainly don’t expect…
