Sonnet VIII
I think all the passages I’ve shared here on Bites of Bard have been my favorites from the plays. But over the past year or so, I’ve tried to give some more of my attention to Shakespeare’s Sonnets. After all, it seems quite likely that Shakespeare would have found his work as a poet more important and likely to last than his dramatic work. How could he know that he would go down in history primarily as the most famous English dramatist of all time?
