The Bitfinex London Hackathon is now only two weeks away and preparations are in full swing. Composed of high-quality workshops, presentations and seminars, the Bitfinex hackathon is an event designed around collaboration, innovation and open-source development.
The event takes place July 20–22nd in London, United Kingdom. Anyone with a passion for decentralised technology and open-source development is encouraged to attend.

Agenda
Throughout the event, participants will be given the chance to collaborate and discuss with industry experts from a wide range of backgrounds, to learn the ins and outs of developing in the digital asset space.
Every day will feature a selection of short speeches, product demonstrations and seminars intended to guide you through the hackathon and leave you with the knowledge required to continue your learning post-event.
Speaker Bios
Paolo Ardoino — CTO, Bitfinex
Paolo is the serving Chief Technology Officer at Bitfinex. Paolo joined Bitfinex early 2015, focused developing & managing the core parts of the Bitfinex backend. Paolo has been building valuable tools & infrastructure for financial innovation for the past 15 years.
Will Harborne — Director of Operations, Ethfinex
Will studied Engineering at Cambridge University, and has a background in operations and technology consultancy at a range of start-ups and large engineering companies. Before joining Ethfinex to contribute to building a new financial ecosystem, Will worked at IBM, and is interested in the impacts of blockchain for governance and democracy.
Emil Bay — Partner, Hyperdivision
Emil Bay is an independent consultant with expert knowledge of Node.js, security, applied cryptography, data analysis and software architecture. As Partner of Hyperdivision, Emil specialises in scaling, distributed systems and cryptocurrency.
Serg Metelin — Head of Developer Relations, Block.one
As head of Developer Relations at Block.one, Serg is helping to develop EOS — a next-generation smart contract blockchain.
David Knott — Research Scientist, OmiseGo
David is a research scientist at OmiseGo, presently working on Plasma and the development of OmiseGo’s decentralised exchange.
