Clear reporting tools are a core component of an effective trading strategy as to gather metrics for gauging the financial health of a potential investment or strategy. For this to be done efficiently, both access and speed to information become crucial.
In line with this, we are pleased to present: Bitfinex Reports for Linux, Mac Os and Windows.
For the first time ever, our users will be able to access and download comprehensive trading reports in a one-click manner, allowing for constant access to trading information regardless of location or time.

Quick View
Using the new reporting tools couldn’t be simpler. To download the new reporting software, go to releases section of Githubs repository bitfinexcom/bfx-report-electron and select the corresponding version according your own platform.
Once the download is complete and software is installed you now have access to all your reports without needing to login, authenticate or anything related.
Data Sync
A highlight of this software is the fact that all data is synced locally, automatically. The sync experience has been developed in a manner which is as smooth and simple as possible, and which allows you to always remain up to date with account developments.
Data Sync requests occur via the cloud as done previously and shows up locally when completed.
New features allow you to to active, deactive and refresh the data sync intuitively with just one click.
Offline / Airplane mode
As data is synced locally, users can log in and check their account developments regardless of whether there is an active internet connection available or not.
Instantaneous queries
Another refreshing benefit of the local data sync setup is that there is no longer any need to wait for queries. All data queries complete in less than seconds, regardless of the quantity of data being processed.
Local CSV export
As to make the reporting software compatible with unrelated trading software's used by our users, we have added the option to export all reporting data.
General Improvements
In addition to the updates above, we have also added general improvements and feedback requests that are reflected both in the above mentioned software and reporting UI as displayed on Bitfinex.
1. High frequency precision
Reports tools now support high frequency traders showing millisecond precision on exported CSV.
2. Improved styling with unique colorways
Color was added to the amount columns as to seamlessly differentiate between positive and negative values.
3. Fixes
Minor bugs and small issues reported from users have been fixed.
Future Plans
We have a number of development plans for our reporting tools moving forward but what matters most to us is what our users seek. As stated above, please reach out to us if you’d like to make a suggestion. Below are a number of the plans that we have for the reporting tool:
- Open-sourcing of the underlying code
- Framework for advanced reporting: portfolio performance, PNL Statement, Risk management and tax management
- More parameters for shareable urls
- Multiple instruments for column filters
- Improved sorting and filtering in tables
- Special framework allowing for sharing of data between users
- Mobile app integration
