Increase your social follower base as your profits grow
One of the perks of trading on Bitfinex is that the exchange has a place where you can showcase your skills and accomplishments.
We know that a good dose of competition will unleash the hidden potential that is inside all traders. This is why we created a dedicated page for traders to showcase their skills.
The Bitfinex Public Leaderboards display the key trading statistics of users who have enabled this functionality, letting them see where they stand against the competition.

No one is left behind
Top traders can expect to see their names in lights on the leaderboards as they make winning trades.
We are now introducing a new feature on Bitfinex, the social connection feature, to enhance opportunities for traders to interact. This new feature allows you to connect your Bitfinex account to your social media account.
You will now be able to see the social handles of the top traders who have connected their social accounts.
If you happen to be one of the top traders, you will see your social handle displayed on the high-traffic leaderboards page.
What’s more, there’s also a “follow” button next to your social handle. This lets anyone follow your social account directly from the Bitfinex leaderboards.

On the other hand, if you’re not on the leaderboards, you can see it as an opportunity to learn from the top traders. Simply following their social accounts will enable you to learn from their valuable insights and grow as a trader.
As the saying goes, if you want to be the best, learn from the best. The social connection feature makes it easier for you to find the best traders to learn from.
Connecting your social account
To connect your Bitfinex account with your social account, go to bitfinex.com/account. After you are logged in, expand the “Account Info” section to be able to connect your social account and review your public settings.
To connect your social account, just click on the Twitter button as shown in the image above.
After the setup is complete, you will see your social handle automatically replacing your nickname on the leaderboards, should you join the ranks of the top traders.
