Inception of Bitflix

Curious how the concept behind Bitflix started? Well, as they say, great people come with great ideas. Let’s get to know the man behind the project!

In a private interview, Tiger said that Bitflix was born from necessity.

“Transparency in film financing has been long overdue. Investors always want to know where invested monies are at each stage of the production cycle, and blockchain technology offers transparency and accountability, which overall assists producers achieve deliverables at the same time.”

While crypto funded film financing has always been his end goal, until the securities issue is resolved, NFTs have provided an interim solution for filmmakers to monetize collectible, auxiliary products and market their film. He explained that filmmakers can then use these profits and momentum to finance production. With his eye on the prize, Tiger is releasing his first film under the Bitflix banner starring Joseph Baena (Arnold Schwarzenegger’s youngest son) later this year. Indeed, it is now apparent that he has positioned his company well ahead of the pack in making crypto funded films commonplace. When asked if Bitflix is Netflix 2.0, he laughed and responded

“Bitflix is 3.0… trustless and permissionless… restoring creative power to filmmakers and now the audience, offering everyone access to each other and for the first time… celebrities.”

The interview left me thinking about new opportunities for filmmakers and content creators in general. Tiger Miller has produced content for multi-million dollar cross-border productions for over 15 years, including flagship product advertising campaigns featuring the Kardashians, Allen Iverson, Dilraba and others for clients such as Baidu, Qihoo 360 Security and Harper’s Bazaar. These spots have attracted tens of millions of internet hits and have been broadcast on national televisions in large nations like China, Japan and the United States of America.

In 2016, Mr. Tiger Miller successfully relaunched the Sesame Street television series in Mainland China, one of over 50 China and US-China productions in which he has played a pivotal creative and cross-cultural role.
