Helllow awesome community!

In the recent months we’ve been preparing China focused community building efforts that will be using the hottest tech in the web3 space. We’ve held a first DAO technology enthusiast workshop and knowledge sharing in Shewnzhen. A passionate group of computer science academics, grassroots developers, investors and FinTech professionals join in this intimate meetup. It was a very passionate group coming together from places that are quite far in the region such as Malaysia, Sichuan and Shanghai to join us in Shenzhen. (We had only one woman in the group though, we’ve certainly have work to do on D&I). Our hosts were the generous Shenzhen crypto community investment firm “Legendary”.

The workshop focused on demo of DAOstack (DAOstack.io) Alchemy DAO platform and a walk-through making collective decisions using the Holographic Consensus (Thanks Pat, Adrien and Eric for sharing these great resources). In addition Dr. Derek Zhou, an academic from Shenzhen university shared with us a demo of his research team’s decentralized media compression technology that uses Ethereum smart contract https://deme.dhonor.io . The group is currently working toward the founding of a dedicated DAO : NaturalDAO.io .

#Blockathon channel partner preparation

Over the past couple of years, we’ve learned that getting to collaborate in teams with both students and professionals both sides feel very empowered. Often students project get breakthroughs and support and professionals get unbiased fresh perspectives on their tech. We’re very happy to have two new #Blockathon channel partners for our upcoming China #Blockathon. The clubs are from nationally leading universities : Tsinghua from Beijing (equivalent time China’s MIT) and Shenzhen University in Guangdong.
