As you can read in the following article: https://medium.com/@BitcoinGreen/bitgreen-the-future-of-bitg-f030548e89d0 BitcoinGreen has rebranded to BitGreen. To reflect a full transition the default folders for the blockchain have also been changed making this a bigger update.

Update Windows/Mac Wallet (see at end of paragraph)

  1. Close your Bitcoingreen Wallet
  2. Download the new wallet from here: https://github.com/bitgreen/bitgreen/releases
  3. Open your file Browser and put %appdata%Roaming/ into the address line and press enter

4. Rename the folder “BitcoinGreen” to “BitGreen” and start your new wallet.

For macs the process is the same but the folder you look to rename is found under ~/Library/Application Support/BitcoinGreen which might be a hidden folder. Refer to this article to make it visibile: https://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac-software/hidden-files-mac-3520878/

Updating Linux Cold Wallets (Masternodes)

There will be a script very soon that will automatically update everything for you. This script cannot be 100% fail safe and if you have any problems please save all the outputs you get on the console and ask us for help. The normal setup script is updated already so if you want to resetup completely you can do so by creating a new VPS and following the guide here: https://goo.gl/Bnn8tE
