How To Update Your Wallet (BitGreen Wallet Update Guide)
Learn how to update your BitGreen wallet. This is an easy process, and it should only take 10–15 minutes. First, check your wallet’s version by going to Tools->Information or by using the getinfo command in the debug console. You can find the most recent version on the Github Releases page.
Step 1: Backup your Wallet
If you haven’t already, make sure to back up your wallet! It’s always important to have several wallet backups before performing wallet maintenence.
- Go to ‘File’
- Select ‘Backup Wallet…’
- Save the .dat file to an appropriate, secure, external location (flash drive/external hard drive)
Step 2: Update Staking/GUI Wallet
To update your Staking/GUI Wallet, download the new wallet, and use the new Qt file to open it. Download the new BitGreen Wallet from Github releases: https://github.com/bitgreen-official/bitgreen/releases

Note: After you install the wallet, you may want to resync the blockchain —
Tools->Wallet Repair->Delete Local Blockchain Folders
Step 3: Masternode Wallet Update
Updating your masternode wallets is easy, thanks to the XeZZ installer. Use your SSH client to connect to your VPS, and paste the following in the command line:
chmod 755 update_130.sh
This will initiate the update script created by XeZZ. Follow the instructions provided by the script. You’ll need to start the masternodes again as part of the update. It will take 3–4 days to receive your first reward after completing this update.
