Mitsubishi UFJ Research and Consulting and bitgrit announce collaboration
Using cutting-edge technologies and a community dedicated to IT engineers, the two firms aim to build a brighter future
It is with great pleasure that we announce a partnership with Mitsubishi UFJ Research and Consulting Co., Ltd. (MURC) to collaborate in efforts to make contributions to society using cutting-edge technologies like AI and blockchain.
This partnership was announced on October 17, 2019 in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between bitgrit and MURC. In the document, we promise to work together toward realizing the Social Development Goals (SDGs) as outlined by the United Nations for the betterment of society.
MURC is the think tank and consulting firm within Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, and the organization provides a variety of services including consultancy, policy research, and economic research. The MURC’s Center on Global Health Architecture tackles issues regarding global health and focuses on “digital health,” or the use of digital technology to improve health and wellness systems. This noble aim combined with bitgrit’s goal to further popularize new technologies — especially blockchain and AI — is sure to usher in exciting new developments to improve global health systems.
In today’s society, the need for data solutions is stronger than ever, resulting in a severe need for people with data-related skills. However, people with these skills are spread all over the globe, so a community that brings together these AI engineers and data scientists is of vital importance. This is where bitgrit’s platform comes in, as the democratic AI platform is built with this community in mind; it is a place that allows for the creation of innovative projects offering solutions to societal needs. By working together with MURC, we hope to provide IT solutions that incite positive changes in society at large.
In addition to our online platform, we are also dedicated to increasing awareness of AI and blockchain technologies through our offline events such as the World Data Science Forum (WDSF). We have held four WDSFs in locations around the world so far, and we look forward to continuing to serve the community of AI and data science specialists by providing an event for them to network and discuss new ideas in the field. Through these localized endeavors, we at bitgrit earnestly look forward to collaborating with MURC in helping propagate the potential of data science through all sectors and verticals.
