Our topic on Bitcointalk

Everyone who is familiar with the topic of cryptocurrencies knows about a forum called Bitcointalk. This is the oldest and the largest online forum dedicated to blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. The site appeared on the Internet in 2009, when the price of Bitcoin was only one tenth of a cent. Since then, the price of the most well-known cryptocurrency has grown about 10 million times.

Bitcointalk was originally created by Satoshi Nakamoto — “ Father” of Bitcoin, a person whose true identity is unknown (maybe he is not a person but a certain group of people communicating under one pseudonym). Incidentally, profile of Satoshi on Bitcointalk can be find even today — the last time he entered his account was on December 13, 2010 (the link on his profile https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile; u=3 )

One of Satoshi’s last posts before he disappeared was about WikiLeaks in which Satoshi claimed that “WikiLeaks has squashed the hornet’s nest and now the swarm is heading towards us.” According to the forum itself, now there are more than 2.5 million users registered on the site who have written in general 50 million messages. Since the creation of Bitcointalk the content on the site has received several billion page views. On average, 403 new users are registered every day and the current ratio of men to women is 4:1.

Bitcointalk.org was built with the use of the software package with an open source software called SMF. The design and functionality of the forum have not changed since its first publication.

Nowadays, “Altcoin Ads “ branch is the most popular section on Bitcointalk, followed by “Bitcoin discussions” and “Altcoin discussions” sections. “Altcoin Ads” became especially popular in 2017 due to the constantly growing number of ICOs and token sales that were held every week! Not long ago, a branch of Winnest project appeared on the forum! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5118677.new#new and we will be very glad to see all our subscribers in our section on Bitcointalk and invite you to express your opinion and ask questions.
