[Notice] Changes in the Bithumb API Policy

Fellow Bithumb Users,

This is No.1 Digital Asset Platform, Bithumb.

There will be changes in the Bithumb API policy effective from January 7, 2021 (KST) due to the launch of BTC market.

1. Changes

- “payment_currency” field will be a mandatory parameter for Private API.

- Either KRW or BTC to be input under “payment_currency” depending on the market preference.

(Example. https://api.bithumb.com/public/ticker/ALL_BTC)

2. Enforcement Date: January 7, 2021, 07:00 (KST)

3. Detailed Information

If “payment_currency” field is unfilled,

1) Private API

• Info > Transactions : Error message “Invalid Parameter” will be returned.
• Trade > Place : Error message “Invalid Parameter” will be returned.
• Trade > Cancel : Error message “Invalid Parameter” will be returned.
• Trade > market_buy : Error message “Invalid Parameter” will be returned.
• Trade > market_sell : Error message “Invalid Parameter” will be returned.
• Trade > stop_limit : Error message “Invalid Parameter” will be returned.

2) Public API

• Ticker : KRW market data will be returned as KRW market will be a default option.
• Order book : KRW market data will be returned as KRW market will be a default option.
• Transaction history : KRW market data will be returned as KRW market will be a default option.

3) WebSocket API : KRW market data will be returned as KRW market will be a default option.
