“แนวรับ คือระดับราคาที่คาดว่าจะเป็นจุดที่สามารถเข้า “ซื้อ” ได้ตามการวิเคราะห์จากปัจจัยทางเทคนิค ส่วน แนวต้าน คือระดับราคาที่คาดว่าจะเป็นจุดที่สามารถ “ขาย” ได้ตามการวิเคราะห์จากปัจจัยทางเทคนิค

จากภาพราคา Bitcoin ในไทม์เฟรม 15 นาทีจะมีแนวรับที่ 259,928.66 เนื่องจากเป็นจุดต่ำสุดที่ได้ถูกเทขายลงไปหลายครั้งแล้วสามารถกลับมายืนได้ในระดับดังกล่าว (ดูได้จากวงกลมสีน้ำเงิน) ระดับราคาดังกล่าวจึงมีนัยยะสำคัญจากการที่มีคนส่วนหนึ่งพร้อมที่จะเข้าซื้อ

ขณะที่แนวต้านจะอยู่ที่ 266,652.53 บาทเนื่องจากเป็นจุดสูงสุดเดิมที่ขึ้นไปแล้วไม่สามารถที่จะผ่านไปได้ ระดับดังกล่าวจึงมีนัยยะสำคัญที่อาจจะมีกลุ่มคนส่วนหนึ่งรอที่จะขาย เราจึงสามารถใช้จุดดังกล่าวในการขายทำกำไรระยะสั้นได้

อย่างไรก็ตามแนวรับแนวต้านเป็นเพียงการคาดการณ์และความน่าจะเป็นเท่านั้น หากราคาไม่เป็นไปตามที่วางแผนไว้ เช่น ราคาหลุดลงไปจากแนวรับก็จำเป็นต้องตัดขาดทุนไปก่อน

จากกราฟ ราคา Bitcoin กำลังเคลื่อนไหวออกข้างหรือ Sideway สามารถใช้เส้นแนวรับและแนวต้านดังกล่าวในการซื้อขายได้ในระยะสั้น”
