LCTA takes interest in BitNautic

The Lugano Commodities Trading Association, at the suggestion of the Municipality of Lugano, has started a dialogue with BitNautic for possible future collaborations.

Last week’s visit to our office by Mr Marco Passalia, member of the Parliament of Canton Ticino and General Secretary of the Lugano Commodity Trading Association (LCTA), is another evidence for the increasing interest that BitNautic is creating in the logistics and trading sector.

The association, which is a close affiliate to the Swiss Trading and Shipping Association (STSA), features members from all the top shipping companies in the italian-swiss and southern Europe areas (such as Nova Marine Carriers), as well as banks, insurance and service companies, for a total yearly revenue of 40 Billion CHF. The interest of such association in our project is obviously very promising, as a partnership would potentially bring tens, if not hundreds, of early platform customers from a market which is so important and also close to our headquarters, as both LCTA and BitNautic have their main offices in Lugano, and the meeting was in fact orchestrated by the Municipality of the city.

It’s great to see that Swiss authorities and associations are so active in pursuing promising ventures in their operative area, and are not afraid to get involved in innovative projects, sometimes feared in an industry so conservative such as logistics.

We believe that much more will come from the establishment of this connection, especially in view of the fifth edition of the Commodity Trade Finance Conference — Lugano Chapter, which will be held on September 27, 2018 and to which the BitNautic Team was invited.
