BitPay — Secure Bitcoin Wallet — v3.0.0
This major BitPay wallet release re-unifies the codebases of the BitPay Secure Bitcoin Wallet and Copay. It also adds some nice new features our users have been asking for:
- Uses a new push notification system using Google’s Firebase (see bitpay/bitcore-wallet-service#627).
- Fixes BIP32 compliance issue when deriving certain private keys (see bitpay/bitcore-lib#116)
- Adds Urgent fee policy (nBlocks=2 * 1.5)
Copay Codebase and Design Update
This new release brings Copay’s design, features, and performance up to par with those of the BitPay app. That means new Copay users will get the same introduction to bitcoin and bitcoin backup security that BitPay wallet users get, along with the slide-to-pay experience, advanced receiving address UI, and more.
Urgent Fee Policy Setting
We all know how painful it is when transactions don’t get confirmed for a day or more. When Bitcoin network traffic spikes, sometimes you’re willing to pay extra to get an important transaction confirmed sooner. Our new urgent fee policy setting allows you to instruct your wallet to include a very high fee for the transaction before you broadcast.
